about Southampton

Located on the south coast, Southampton is the largest town in Hampshire with a population of just over a quarter of a million. It's also perfectly situated for accessing the nearby New Forest. Shipbuilding and repair are two traditional industries that have long been associated with Southampton and it is from here that RMS Titanic set sail on her fateful voyage back in 1912.
